Discovery: Delay or avoid Alzheimer's!
Sure, the title might sound a bit "marketing," but the research backs it up...
Some diseases are more frightening than others, and Alzheimer’s is one of them.
First, have you ever wondered where the name for this illness comes from?
I love learning about origins so here you go: The illness Alzheimer's disease is named after Dr. Alois Alzheimer, a German neurologist who first identified and described the condition in 1906.
Dr. Alzheimer observed a patient with severe memory loss, confusion, and other cognitive difficulties.
After the patient's death, he examined her brain and found abnormal clumps (now known as amyloid plaques) and tangled bundles of fibers (now called neurofibrillary tangles), which are characteristic of the disease. His findings were pivotal in understanding the condition, and it was later named in his honor.
I’ve always believed that neurodegenerative diseases were largely genetic and that there wasn’t much that could be done about them.
But, as you know, I love digging deeper and discovering approaches or treatments that no one is talking about yet. And when I came across a very serious study conducted by the prestigious MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) showing fantastic results with a painless, easy, and low-cost method, I thought, 'this is too good to be true.'
So, I dug deeper and analyzed it, and the conclusion is that there is indeed a very promising approach. I wonder why it’s not already more widely used in hospitals and even at home.
