My Secret Homemade Electrolyte Recipe
Because 95% of electrolyte drinks on the market are loaded with unnecessary chemicals, I prefer to control the formula and make my own.
It’s simple. Fast. And actually healthy.
For years, I did what everyone does.
I drank water. A lot of water.
And I thought that was enough.
Spoiler: it wasn’t.
⚠️ The problem no one explains
You’ve been told:
👉 “Stay hydrated.”
👉 “Drink 2 liters a day.”
But no one tells you this:
👉 Hydration is not just water.
It’s a balance between:
💧 Water
🧂 Sodium
🥑 Potassium
⚡ Magnesium
Without that?
👉 You dilute your minerals
👉 You stress your nervous system
👉 You reduce your performance
And sometimes…
👉 you actually dehydrate yourself by drinking too much water
🧠 Why electrolytes matter (biohacker version)
Electrolytes are what allow your body to:
transmit nerve signals
contract muscles
maintain energy
regulate heart rhythm
optimize recovery
👉 In short: without them, your system struggles.
And if you are:
athletic
low-carb / keto
fasting
stressed
or simply active
👉 your needs increase dramatically
🚫 The problem with most electrolyte products
Most commercial formulas are:
loaded with real sugar
or sweetened with questionable alternatives (maltitol, xylitol, erythritol…)
full of artificial flavors, preservatives, and dyes
👉 Which is why I make my own.
💡 Final thought
Don’t fall for overpriced “sports” drinks.
They all rely on these same basic electrolytes—and often add marketing fluff to justify the price.
