Stanford Longevity Researcher Certificate - Final Paper: The Sinus-Gut Axis, an Upstream Intervention

For more than 50 years, I suffered from SIBO, gut dysbiosis, Giardia, Salmonella, and a long list of other digestive issues.

Over the decades, I consulted some of the most respected experts in the world—from renowned heads of gastroenterology departments at major institutions to lesser-known researchers whose work I deeply admired.

Not one of them was able to heal me.

I tried virtually everything: antibiotics, elemental diets, herbal protocols, prescription medications, fasting, non-fasting approaches, carnivore diets, high-fiber diets, probiotics, prebiotics, and countless other interventions.

Nothing worked for more than a few days.

Then, using what I had learned through years of study, experimentation, and continuous education, I designed a protocol for myself.

Today, I have been symptom-free for more than 12 weeks.

Even more surprising: I can now eat foods that used to trigger symptoms almost immediately—and experience none.

This is still an N=1 experiment, and I remain cautious. My next goal is to continue documenting the results over time, refine the protocol, and eventually test it in a larger group.

But after half a century of frustration, I can honestly say that I am amazed by the results.
